(and fangirls too)
So, I noticed the boards have been dead for a good long while, so I thought I'd try to revive them.
We're not all about slaving away in your basement on games here at EGaDS, sometimes it's just fun to just talk about games. Particularly games that cause a phenominon know as "gushing", in which a fan may fixate on the listener, eyes wide with intensity, engage in wild gesticulation, profuse sputtering, and experience other forms of physical arousal. Fortunately the internet provides a much more pleasant and hygenic place in which to engage in this behavior. So what games past or present make you gush?
I for one can't wait for ETW. Particularly, I can't wait for its price to go below $60. But regardless of the buggy demo, it looks amazing. The naval combat is as intuitive and streamlined as I could ever ask for, you can manage ships as individuals and groups with the same interface and controls, and the AI is smart enough to go without being micro'd much of the time. And even on a not-that-super system everything is awesomely rendered, down to guys running around on the decks and in the masts. The scope is great too, Europe, America, and India are all represented. I love history, so it's great to have more of the world present and active in the game, especially since it's so open-ended. Watch for screens of Austria and the Rajputs battling it out in the Nevada desert...
